Tuition

Private lessons are $200 per month for weekly 30-minute sessions. Group lessons are $200 per month for weekly hour-long sessions. Brook Fine Arts continues lessons all year long and is based on a 48-week calendar year. You are not charged when we are closed due to various holidays. (Link to our Calendar here.) Tuition will remain constant at $200 each month regardless of the number of lessons/weeks in the month. Thy student will receive an average of 4 lessons per month. If there are 5 weeks in the month, you will not be charged more; if there are 3 week in the month, you will not be charged less. Tuition is collected on the 25th day of the month prior to the 1st day of the current month via auto-draft (ACH debit) or Visa/MC/Discover auto-charge and is never prorated for missed lessons. For example: Tuition for February is collected on January 25th. March tuition is collected on February 25th. All tuition and fees are non-refundable.

Registration

Students may begin instruction at any time during the year. A $25 registration fee and a $25 materials deposit are required for each student. The cost of music, copies, CDs and other materials (used on site in group classes) that each student receives is subtracted from the materials deposit. Should the student exceed the materials deposit, you will be notified of any additional cost. All fees are non-refundable.

Makeup Lessons

If BFA is notified of a private lesson that will be missed by a student, the student is placed on the cancellation list until the next lesson. As other slots become available, those waiting for spaces will be contacted. The earlier that you are able to advise us of a cancellation, the more time we will have to offer other available time slots to you. If no slots become available before the student's NEXT lesson, the lesson is forfeited. If BFA is NOT given prior notice of an absence, we cannot offer that slot to others, therefore, the student will not be offered a slot. We do not offer credits or guarantee a makeup. Lessons are not made up or credited for a student arriving late or leaving early. All group classes will have a designated and posted time for a makeup if you are unable to attend your normally scheduled weekly hour group lesson.

June/July Cancellation Special

Brook Fine Arts continues lessons all year long. However, our cancellation policy for private lessons changes. For any lessons that are missed in the months of June and July, the student will have the opportunity to make up the lesson(s) during the entire months of June and July. BFA must receive at least 24-hour notice of cancellation in order to reschedule the lesson(s). With more advanced notice, you give designated and posted time for the makeup. Tuition is collected on the 25th day of the month prior to the 1st day of the current month via auto-draft (ACH debit) or Visa/MC/Discover auto-charge. For example: June tuition is collected on May 25th. July tuition is collected on June 25th.

Substitutions

BFA reserves the right to provide a substitute if the instructor is unable to attend a lesson.

Withdrawal Policy

If you wish to discontinue lessons, a 15-day notice must be given to the front desk before the 25th day of the current month. The last month of lessons is not prorated or refunded regardless of the student's attendance. To avoid being responsible for the next month of lessons, notice must be received before the 25th day of the current month.

Inclement Weather/Holidays

BFA does not follow any private or public school schedule regarding holidays, snow days, fall or spring breaks, or cancellations due to the weather. If a student chooses to cancel due to the above, he/she must follow the regular cancellation policy.

Injury/Care of Students

Parents/guardians/adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on BFA property resulting from normal lesson activity or other activity conducted by the students before, during, or after lessons or workshops. BFA is not responsible for providing care for students before or after lessons. Students are not to be left at BFA for excessive time before or after lessons.
